Prevention Is Better Than Cure

Due to the significantly increasing number of people infected with the Corona virus and its great spread around the world, and because of our belief that all efforts should be combined to protect Syria's citizens, and as a result of the underestimation of many citizens about the this disease's risks, conducting an awareness campaign emphasizing the virus's risk was essential.
On an individual initiative and with the donation of its employees, members and volunteers, Aso Center launched a volunteer campaign entitled '' Prevention Is Better Than Cure''. On March 17,2020 the center started to coordinate with all concerned parties and authorities from organizations affairs offices, health authorities to work alongside aside and participate in the voluntary campaign to educate the citizens about the virus, through distributing brochures and posters. These brochures and posters were disturbed in the major cities in Northern and Eastern Syria.
Our work continues to identify the most important challenges which encounter with these organizations and work to secure the needs through contacting with the international organization and authorities.
Aso center also calls upon all the partners and colleagues in local civil society organizations in north and east Syria to enhance efforts and coordination to assist the local authorities to prevent the spread of the virus especially that the region has a lack of medical supplies and services as a result of many wars and because of the Turkish invasion of Syria's North and East regions.
Responsibility sense requires us all, individuals and organizations, to stand together to tackle this epidemic, so that we can have a safe society.
