Legal-Experts Focused Sessions

2019-11-24
With the presence of 18 legal experts (by 28% women), a candidate to join the constitutional committee, and one of the participants in the committee, legal experts' focused sessions were carried out in Erbil and Al-Qmashili, where a set of axes had been prepared to be discussed to prepare and submit the recommendations to the Constitutional Committee at the end of the project.

Five session were scheduled to be held in Erbil. However, because of the new developments, and the presence of many legal experts in Northeastern Syria, we considered the necessity of transferring two of these sessions to Amuda. In addition, form a committee of Syrian legal experts in Syria in order to involve them in the sessions and deliver their opinions to the concerned authorities in relation to constitutional issue.

Our partners approved this proposal, and three sessions have been implemented so far.
