A Meeting of a Group of Organizations in Northeast Syria to Discuss and Submit Proposals and Recommendations to Brussels Conference of European Donor Countries

ASO Center for Consultancy and Strategic Studies held meetings for a group of the operating organizations in the governorates of Raqqa, Al-Hassaka, Deir Al-Zor within the framework of its activities to check the content of the annual conference of European Union countries, in the offices of the organization in cities and towns in north and east Syria.
The meetings were held over three days through group discussion sessions for those organizations working in the governorates of Al-Hassaka, Raqqa and Deir Al-Zor.
ASO held the meetings to notify civil organizations on the annual conference of European Union countries, which is being held in Brussels to discuss the Syrian situation and allocate a financial bloc to provide aid for the Syrian regions.
Therefore, the sessions, according to the organizers aim to raise and write the proposals and requirements of the region in the sectors of health, education, food and non-food security and the reality of the camps.
The sessions also, aimed at directing international support to the regions of north and east Syria as well as other Syrian regions and forming a legal committee that formulates proposals and recommendations for the needs of the governorates of Raqqa, Deir Al-Zor and Al-Hassaka.
The organizers added that ASO Center for Consultancy and Strategic Studies believe that it is necessary for the operating civil community organizations, in north and east Syria to submit their proposals and recommendations that serve the civil work in Syria in general and northeast Syria in particular.
In the last four years, an annual ministerial meeting for donor countries of Syria was being held under the auspices of the European Union in Brussels and attended by Foreign Ministers of several countries. The context of the Syrian situation was being analyzed and Syria's needs were presented at all levels, during the conference, including the political situation and means to achieve peace in Syria.
The conference presents the civil community recommendations of the development of the political process and the vision of the civil community and its recommendations to address humanitarian issues through delegates and representatives from the Syrian civil community concerning the whole Syrian geography. It is noted that the contributions of the countries reached to 7 billion USD in the conference of last year.
