2023-07-09
Brussels VII: “Too early to talk about recovery under the Turkish threat”
the board member’s intervention of ASSO (Analysis and Strategic Studies Organization) Mr. Majed Dawi.
Mr. Majed Dawi in an intervention in Brussels 7th addressed the mechanism of creating the necessary conditions for CSOs action and addressing the challenges particularly the security ones which will enhance all security, military, legal, and economic levels pointing out that it is too early to talk about recovery under the Turkish threats of invasion besides the gross human rights violations in the occupied territories and not to secure the return of refugees safely.
The intervention also highlighted the marginalization and exclusion of NES politically and economically by the Syrian and international stakeholders, besides, the dilemma of political and military militarization practiced by some members of local society against regions like NES.
Mr.Dawi put up the cruciality of activating the constructive dialogue among CSOs-NGOs across Syria to unify efforts and to achieve the necessary factors and structure for stabilization, as well as, the necessity of changing the concept of marginalization by the international community against CSOs working in NES.
