ASO Center Concludes a Training Workshop on "Project Design and Management" for the NES NGO Platform Members

ASO Center for Consultancy and Strategic Studies has concluded two training workshops on "Project Design and Management", in the cities of Raqqa and Al-Hasakah, Northeastern Syria.

ASO Center organized two training workshops for the NES NGO Platform members and it lasted for two days, from 20 to 26 October.

These two workshops are within the framework of supporting and developing the capabilities of the NES NGO Platform members. As well as, to perpetuate the discourse of dialogue, networking and peace-building among the Platform’s members, who are located in different regions in the three eastern governorates; Raqqa, Al-Hasakah and the eastern and western Deir Ezzor countryside.

The online training, conducted through the Zoom app was supervised by the trainer, Reddy Misho, who had previously worked as a trainer and held many positions of program management in several international and local organizations.

The number of participating trainees from the NES NGO Platform was 58 (male and female) members. As members from different age groups participated in the training, including 26 trainees from Al-Hasakah and 32 from Raqqa.

During the training period, the trainer presented a range of experiences and competencies, which involved project design, project management standards, project life cycle, project management processes, time and project cost management, quality and human resources (HR), in addition to risk management, monitoring methods, and evaluation of project measurement indicators.

It is indicated that the aim of these training workshops is to make the participants gain knowledge on what projects are and how to manage them in all aspects. Moreover, to be part of building the trainees' capacities, and improving their previous experiences in the field of project design and management.

ASO Center is expected to organize a third training workshop in the eastern and western Deir Ezzor countryside during the next week, for which the team is now making the necessary preparations.

It is noteworthy that ASO Center had earlier conducted a series of training workshops for the NES NGO Platform members in the governorates of Al-Hasakah, Raqqa, and the eastern and western Deir Ezzor countryside.
